How to play

The aim of the game is to create "melds", three matching cards or a sequence of a matching suit. The objective is to have four melds and a matching pair in the players hand.
Players take turns to pick up a new card, and must discard a card to maintain a hand size of 13 cards. At this point their opponents can steal the discarded card to form a complete meld.

I have several iPhone Hong Kong type Mahjong games to compare this one to, and like it very much. It doesn’t have an ‘Options’ button to change the layout, which is elegant and efficient as is. It has no sounds, which I usually turn off anyway. The game tiles are initially sorted and new ones are added on the lower right, but can be repositioned by sliding them along the bottom (like the cards in some of the Gin Rummy games). Even without the all the bells and whistles, I feel this game is worth 5 stars as is. It’s a lot of fun to play.
Im a beginner, my wife is advanced. This app turned out to be great fun for both of us! Were more familiar with Philippine style mahjong, but this is very close. The app itself is very efficient, no bells and whistles (which is good for me). The action is fast, but not too fast to follow. Graphics are crisp and clear. No crashes. I only wish this app had a multi-player version. Id buy it in a flash! My money was well spent here.
I think the interface is awesome and easy to use. Probably the best out there. But Im a beginner. I really need tiles with the numbers on them. If that doesnt bother you, the get this app!
I can only give this three stars due to how easy it is. I dont consider myself to be a pro at all and I still win 100% of the time. Plus there is no options menu so it gets boring quick. I need to find a challenging HK Majong.
Way too easy!! Actually think game is programmed to "feed" you the winning tiles . No challenge whatsoever. Also no explanation for scoring. Have no idea what a Lucky Eye is yet. Going to delete and keep looking for better option. This is NOT the way to learn to play the real game. SIGH.......
